About our Therapy Practice
About our Therapy Dog
We offer counselling and psychotherapy for children, young people, adults, couples, and families. Sessions can focus on a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and relational difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
Therapy can be helpful if you or your child are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, distressed, or struggling with emotions, behaviour, or relationships. You don’t need to be in crisis to seek support. An initial phone call can help us explore your concerns and decide together whether therapy feels like the right next step.
The first session is an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy, ask questions, and get a sense of how it feels to work together. We will discuss goals, boundaries, confidentiality, and what you would like from therapy. There is no pressure to share more than you feel comfortable with.
Sessions usually last 45-50 minutes and typically take place weekly, though this can be adjusted depending on individual needs and circumstances.
The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some people come for short-term support around a specific issue, while others choose longer-term therapy. We regularly review progress together to ensure the work remains helpful and relevant.
Yes. We offer age-appropriate therapy for children and young people, using creative, play-based, or talking approaches depending on their age, needs, and preferences. We work collaboratively with parents or carers where appropriate, while respecting the child and young person’s confidentiality.
Yes. We support couples and families with communication difficulties, conflict, life changes, and relationship challenges. Sessions provide a safe, neutral space where everyone’s perspectives and experiences can be heard and explored.
Yes. Sessions are confidential, with a few legal and ethical exceptions (such as concerns about serious harm to yourself or others). These limits to confidentiality will be explained clearly in your first session.
We offer both in-person and online sessions, but they type of session is dependent on availability and suitability. We can discuss what works best for you during an initial enquiry call.
You can get started by contacting us via email or phone to arrange an initial phone call. We are happy to answer any questions and help you decide the best way forward.
